Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to
Scholarship

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Letter from the President

Welcome to the Lambda Alpha chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi! My name is Emilie Brekke and I am honored to be the 2016-2017 Chapter President. I was initiated in Spring 2016 and since then, I have had numerous incredible experiences that helped me form wonderful bonds of friendship and sisterhood.

Alpha Omicron Pi was founded in 1897 and it is the oldest international sorority on the ULV campus. Being a member of an international women's organization means so much more than being a member of a chapter on one campus. Alpha Omicron Pi has 138 active collegiate chapters and over 153,000 collegiate members in North America making it possible to find sisters anywhere around the world. In its 120th year of existence, AOII has shaped thousands of intelligent, ambitious, and well-rounded women.

This year, Lambda Alpha is celebrating its 10th year of establishment at the University of La Verne.
