Commitment to
Dignity

Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to
Scholarship

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Commitment to
College Loyalty

From collegiate years on through alumnae involvement, the reason AOIIs continue service is the joy of spending time together and sharing the insights learned from the relationships we build and sustain.

Letter from the President

Welcome to the Lambda Alpha chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi! My name is Cori Shindo and I am honored to be the 2024 Chapter President. I was initiated in Spring 2021 and since then, I have a wonderful time building bonds with my sisters and my leadership skills!

Alpha Omicron Pi was founded in 1897 and it is the oldest international sorority on the ULV campus. Being a member of an international women's organization means so much more than being a member of a chapter on one campus. Alpha Omicron Pi has 200 active collegiate chapters and over 196,000 collegiate members in North America making it possible to find sisters anywhere around the world. In its 127th year of existence, AOII has shaped thousands of intelligent, ambitious, and well-rounded women.

This year, Lambda Alpha is celebrating its 17th year of establishment at the University of La Verne.
